Karl E. Humberson, VP, Project Construction - Offshore Wind. Dominion Energy; "Dominion Energy's $11B Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project"

Karl E. Humberson is the Vice President of Offshore Wind Construction at Dominion Energy. In this executive role, he leads the engineering, installation, and construction of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project, a massive 2.6-gigawatt megaproject located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach. Set for completion by early 2027, CVOW is currently the largest offshore wind energy project under construction in the United States.

Humberson joined Dominion Energy in 2011 as manager-Fossil and Hydro Projects.  Prior to joining Dominion Energy, he worked with other like-minded energy companies with a focus on engineering, operations, construction and commissioning.

Karl attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, and an officer’s commission in the United States Navy.  Humberson attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the US Naval Reserve.
