'Mental Note Barbershop Quartet (Beach, Candrelli, Geipel, Mauro); "A Barbershop Quartet Performance"

Mental Note is a quartet that came together in 2023.  The quartet is comprised of Scott Beach, singing lead, Jerry Candrilli, taking the baritone notes, Mike Geipel, belting out the bass, and Jeff Mauro, putting up the tenor notes.  All four have been in competitive quartets over the years.

Scott sings with two different choruses: The Virginians and the Alexandria Harmonizers. He is the lead singer and sets the mood for the rest of the group.

Jerry is heavily involved in the barbershop world. He is the President of the Virginians board and in the Mid-Atlantic district leadership.  He sings the baritone notes.

Mike has been in quartets for more than 20 years. He was a former tenor and recently moved down an octave or two to sing bass. His deep and loud bass sound provides a strong foundation for the quartet.

Jeff is active in The Virginians chorus and participates in The Virginians board.  He cranks out the high notes, which rise above the other parts and make the songs shine.
