Perry J. Miller, A.A.E., I.A.P., Richmond International Airport President & CEO; “Richmond International Airport’s Vision and Innovation”

Perry J. Miller, M.S., A.A.E., I.A.P., is an airport executive and accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and the Global ACI-ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program (AMPAP).

A graduate of Texas Southern University with a BS degree in Airway Science and MS in Transportation Planning and Management, he spent 25 years with the Houston Airport System.

Perry has served in many airport arenas, including airport operations, maintenance, properties management and business development. Perry has served as Airport Manager of Ellington Airport, (EFD) William P. Hobby, (HOU) Interim Airport Manager of George Bush Intercontinental, (IAH) and was a ranking member of the Houston Airport System Management Team. Perry also served as an Adjunct Professor of the Aviation Science and Technology Department at his alma mater.

Perry, originally from Chicago, worked in Houston long enough to genuinely address a group – using the Texas – y’all. In October 2015, he became Chief Operating Officer for the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority in Jackson, Mississippi. In July 2019 he moved to the Richmond to accept the position of President and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Authority. Perry is a passionate student of all things airport related and has spent his life building leadership skills while balancing family bonds with his wife Tanya and four sons: Shane, Nekoda, Jachin, and Jahleel.
